Samsung Announce a 17 Lens VR Camera In The US

Samsung, not to be outdone and always appearing to push the boundaries in tech, will launch a 17 lens camera in the US later this year. Before you start to save up and get excited that this is the next upgrade from your Samsung handheld 360 camera. Nope, No and errrr no! This is a high end, and likely to have a high price professional VR camera. Likely to be pushing around $1800, if not more given the specification and the fact that it can live stream in 4K, in VR. That alone is pretty impressive, so are the specs; 17 cameras with f/1.8 lenses, six onboard mics for spatial audio, two external mic hookups, 50GB of internal memory (LPDDR3 and eMMC), support for 2TB of SSD, a gyroscope, accelerometer, and a staggering live streaming resolution of 4,096 x 2,048 at 30fps
