Android 8 ‘Oreo’ – Android O Launch Date

Google announced on the day of the US eclipse, that Android 8, otherwise known as Android O, or Oreo, will launch on 21st August 2017.

Before you get too excited, Google will be releasing it for the Pixel range and the Next range on or around that date, and releasing the OS to manufacturers. What this means to the rest of us, the most of us in fact. Is that we will likely have to wait a very long time, likely months, before we will see Orea on our devices as manufacturers play with it and fiddle.

We will provide more news and updates nearer the time, but for now, let’s not get too excited about something we may have to wait a very long time to play with on our phones.
